How Can I See "Now Playing" Song Information?
Many of our
listeners ask how they can see Artist and Title information for
songs that are currently playing. We offer two ways to do
this:
Method
1: The
Boomer Radio Media Player (Recommended)
If you are running Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP, and Microsoft Internet
Explorer (version 5 or later),
you can install the new Player. You will
see
Artist, Title, Album and Year information for each song.
Plus, all of our music
channels can be selected directly from the Player. The convenient desktop shortcut icon will
allow you to quickly and directly access Boomer Radio whenever you want
to hear some great music!
Netscape
and Mac OS users
will still have to launch the standard Windows Media Player

in
the "Full Mode"
- Click
on "View" in
the menu bar

-
Next, click on the upper left "Now Playing" button on the Player
-
Finally, enable the Captions
display in your player
- Click on "Play" in
the menu bar
- 'Mouse over' the "Captions and Subtitles" item
on the drop down menu
- Select "On if Available" from
the submenu
You will now see the song
information appear at the beginning of the next and each new song.
The player must be in the "Full View" mode, not "Skin Mode", to be able to
see the captions.
It should look like this:
You can minimize the player while you work, and reopen it from your taskbar whenever you want to know what song is playing!

you for helping to make Boomer Radio
one of the fastest growing Internet Radio stations!
